Counselling offering
Our counselling offering covers all issues that may arise as a result of a disability or chronic illness and includes e.g. the following:
- Applying for a study place (e.g. hardship case applications)
- Mediation between lecturers and students
- Modification of course and exam modalities
- Applying for compensation for disadvantages for exams
- Assistance with studies
- Care support and personal assistance in day-to-day life
- Health insurance services under the German Social Code Book V (Sozialgesetzbuch – SGB)
- Options for financing disability-related additional costs
- Statements on applications (e.g. for technical aids or assistance)
- Applying for a Euro key
- Support in the search for accessible accommodation
- Options for compensation for disadvantages with regard to the duration of the period for which you receive financial support under the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG)
- Work assistance services under the German Social Code Book IX
- Completion of studies

- Temporary accompaniment service on campus
- Information on the accessibility of university buildings, lecture theatres and facilities
- BlindSquare app for the blind and partially sighted
- Computer workstations for the blind (in the University and State Library)
